I joined Lee Health to help organize and structure the integration solutions that the interface team provides. My previous years in web programming and writing software in EPIC Chronicles allows me to be useful in the new requirements set by the government on info sharing and web based APIs.Project Highlights:In my first week I managed the USCDI requirements of our hosted FHIR APIs for the Information Blocking government requirements. Lee Health was one of five health networks on EPIC to go live with the R4 version of FHIR on the original due date set by the Twenty-first Century CURES act. (Date was later changed due to COVID-19)Assisting in planning and delivering standardized processes to move away from heavy customization in the integration environment (Both EPIC Bridges and our Integration Engine).Quickly learned a new integration engine to begin work on maintaining Lee Health HL7 interfaces and rewrite customized interfaces to a new and simpler standard. I now help instruct others on how to use the engine.I continue to be the Interface/API representative for Information Blocking based projects.

Build, test, and maintain interface solutions to support Kettering Health Network's HL7, X12, and Web Service feeds. Projects range from implementing new interfaces to developing Epic Routines (Cache 'M') which customize existing interfaces for business needs.♦ Maintain 3 Epic Certifications (Bridges, Chronicles Database Programmer, and Interconnect Programmer) and 1 Certification from Intersystems for Ensemble/Healthshare♦ Implementing a family history interface with CRA Health to query their cancer risk assessment engine directly from Epic. Developed a custom routine in Epic to extract the CRA data from the EPT master file and send it to Powerscribe via the outgoing radiology orders and results interface.♦ Developed a custom translation in ObjectScript (string to string due to bug in XML output) in Ensemble that converted CSV lists into a CDA formatted XML file to upload Antimicrobial data to the CDC since Epic did not have the software yet available. Network was able to report compliance on time for Anthem scorecard.♦ Worked with the Willow team to transition the RX system from Pyxis to Omnicell - Performed all integration work between Epic and Omnicell for the project.♦ Implemented and configured a query interface with Ohio Department of Health to support Ambulatory build team for clinicians to retrieve historical vaccination data via a button in Epic during appointments.♦ Wrote a specialized HL7 translation to accommodate nurses ordering diet items from the MAR in Epic rather than the Diet module.

Developed multiple interactive and dynamic solutions for clients including the San Francisco 49ers, Walmart, TD Bank, First National Bank, Canadian Tire, Sonic Automotive, McDonald's, Whataburger, and Kraft.♦ Designed and developed a touch analytics system for Stratacache interactive kiosks which recorded data in the field and auto uploaded data to Stratacache reporting servers where clients could log into an interface and review and retrieve their data♦ Engineered a dynamic menu network for a client to update their menu boards from their in-restaurant Windows computers. The solution provided a fail-safe as well, should restaurant lose connection to LAN.♦ Developed an intranet reporting application for the support team to auto generate pdf reports for clients on the fly♦ Provide technical/knowledge support for Stratacache tradeshows: helped present Stratacache solutions to potential clients♦ Redesigned and rebuilt the Stratacache web presence: bounce rate dropped 40% upon deployment♦ Build and maintain Linux business servers for clients.
