I led operations for a finishing department supporting the manufacturing of outdoor / indoor polyester, nylon, and polypropylene fabrics. I supervised, trained, and evaluated 25 direct reports. In addition, I was accountable for production scheduling, process improvements, maintenance functions, HR support, production reporting requirements, safety, and quality assurance. Selected Highlights🔹 I coordinated the safe, efficient operation of three tenter frames that produced approximately 60,000 lbs. per day of finished and coated fabric. 🔹 I improved machine uptime and reduced incidents / injuries by working with maintenance department to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment at all times.🔹 In addition, I increased safety by conducting safety meetings / audits and working with an occupational nurse to facilitate first aid training, prepare accident reports, and execute wellness initiatives. 🔹 Was successful at cutting costs / waste by playing a key role in developing and implementing a plant-wide, 100% landfill free production facility and recycling program.🔹 I also boosted productivity and team performance across department by leading a successful program to cross-train employees in finishing processes and procedures.🔹 I achieved 33% increase in lbs. of fabric through the frame, while maintaining the same speed by working with an R&D group and Process Engineers to go from a 2x to a 3x fabric in width.🔹 Also, I spearheaded the installation of new production equipment that included a million-dollar Four Roll Stretch machine that helped position company to enter new markets never achievable before.🔹 I was able to oversee routine / preventative maintenance and operation of Mahlo weft straightener and course counter machines to help increase quality on every yard processed through the frame. 🔹 Finally, I generated a 12% gain in speed for new filtration line of products that was instrumental in penetrating new markets.

I led plant operations for a leading coater in the United States of both military and commercial wax coated cottons and polyester fabrics. In addition, I managed 12 employees. I was also accountable for all aspects of production, receiving, shipping, and inventory.Selected Highlight🔹 Oversaw efforts to transition plant from older solvent-based coatings to new water-based coatings production that opened up new markets and created more environmentally, government compliant friendly products.
