I represent financial institutions and other corporations and individuals in investigations, litigation, and other criminal and civil enforcement matters.I have extensive experience in investigations into global financial institutions on a variety of issues, including those involving the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and other law enforcement agencies and self-regulatory organizations.Prior to rejoining Skadden in 2015, I was a senior trial attorney at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, where I led investigations concerning a wide range of topics involving the application of the Commodity Exchange Act and Commission regulations to commodities, swaps and other derivatives markets. My role included leading litigation as well as coordinating efforts with various U.S. attorney’s offices and the SEC. My cases included investigations into the misuse of customer funds, manipulation of interest rate benchmarks through swaps trading and false submissions, as well as manipulation involving natural gas derivatives.
