Central Division Training Manager - Cdl Program Trainer & Driver
As the Driver Trainer for the Central Division, my role encompassed completing, coordinating, and directing various types of training classes, including new driver, recurrent driver, remedial driver, and driver trainer (TTT) sessions. Developing and adjusting CDL Driver Training classes, amending curriculum based on project needs, and continually evaluating and tailoring training to meet operational goals and address shortfalls. Utilizing a range of platforms for training, including e-learning, traditional classrooms, remote sessions, and state-of-the-art full-motion simulators. Continually identifying new and recurring training opportunities to prevent or minimize loss, prioritize driver safety, and mitigate hazards before they escalate into issues. Conducting and coordinating new and existing driver training and testing, ensuring compliance with FMCSA and internal quality standards. Ensuring that training programs meet the needs of both students and trainers, aligning with established metrics and timelines, and evaluating training success with quantifiable student data. Providing unwavering support to new mentor trainers and students. Traveling regularly to all locations within the central division of the United States and other company areas with the 36' mobile training center trailer and simulator. Promptly responding to documenting company losses that arise and providing assistance to the Division Safety Manager as required.Key Accomplishments:- Successfully trained and road-tested dozens of new drivers in each class, maintaining a focus on safety.- Managed multiple simultaneous classes across different locations without compromising the quality of training.- Achieved an outstanding safety record in the first year, with zero accidents or lost-time incidents during training sessions.- Maintained a 100% pass rate for students in the first several classes, with a consistent average pass rate of 95% thereafter.
