I worked with R.N. Rouse for 16 years. I started as a laborer in the field and worked my way up to be a job site Superintendent. Through the years I was in the field I worked on several large projects and to list a couple, Electrolux in Kinston, Wayne Memorial Hospital Goldsboro. J.Paul Stitch Hospital Winston Salem, SAS Campus Cary, Cary Academy School Cary, Rexwood's Building Raleigh, and put up cell phone towers for BellSouth in the Western part of the State. I then became an estimator in our main office in Goldsboro until my departure. During this period I had the pleasure of working on bidding projects and had about a 10% average on awarded projects which always made money thanks to the help of the Project Managers and Superintendent. After a period of time I started concentrating on design build projects working with owners and Architects. The last job I did as a design build is the Goldsboro Orthopedics Building Goldsboro,I was also on R.N. Rouse Executive Saftey Committee to help receive the first Star Award every received by a General Contractor and then our goal was maintain that level of Saftey for all our projects. I had to attend OSHA Classes and meetings to keep up with the latest changes or additions to the guidelines.
