Chad Guthrie is a Project Engineer at Marathon Petroleum Corporation. He possess expertise in six sigma, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, manufacturing, process improvement and 31 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "I worked with Chad while contracted into Phoenix. At the time, the mission was to improve uptime of a newly launched line. In order to achieve this, any major machine/process line changes needed to be accomplished through Chad who was the Maintenance Manager. Chad was excellent to work with. He never backed away from his responsibility always willing to take on whatever was needed even when resources were tight and he was pulled in a lot of directions. He managed his team well, establishing priorities to concentrate on the most important thing and not always just responding to the lower priority “crisis”. He was very good at efficiently completing preventative maintenance to reduce those “crisis”. He could take on a project where everything was completely defined by engineering while providing valuable input or he could take direction in the form of a hand wave and stated objective and perform the engineer/design/procurement/install on his own. He performed many rolls such as setting up best practices and standard operating procedures for tasks in his department as well as hands on maintenance work. Overall, Chad’s best characteristic was his willingness to take responsibility and accountability for his area of management in a very professional manner."
