on a large capital project ($110MM) retrofitting an existing unit with new process technology designed to improve the safety of the unit and surrounding community. Responsibilities include oversight of the detailed engineering, materials specifications, quality assurance, budget, and schedule. Resolving engineering and construction issues using Engineering Consultants, Inside Engineering, Operations and the Core Project Team. Continually working to control cost and maintain schedule through limiting project creep, overseeing change orders and providing quick response to requests for information keeping rework at a minimum. Leads weekly project, engineering, RFI, and document control meetings.

Provided stationary equipment support to Ethylene Complex, Transfer & Shipping Area and a Sulfuric Acid Alkylation Unit. Responsibilities include evaluating and replacing equipment to ensure safe operation between turnarounds and optimum operation to conserve energy and increased production. Typical work included piping and vessel replacement, repairs and improvements. This was accomplished by working within the Area Business Team to schedule work and purchase materials while continually adjusting scope and goals according to need, situation, budget.

Optimized pipeline flow and energy consumption for improve profitability by working with operations and scheduling to better utilize existing equipment. Coordinated maintenance, operations, and engineering to solve issues of reliability, flow, and quality. Assisted in the start-up of the carbon dioxide plant in Washington, IN and completed project work for air separation and carbon dioxide units across the eastern United States. Responsible for progress reports, quality, training, and safety issues for projects and in the plants. Project work at the two facilities consisted of maintenance, quality, and safety related items taking into consideration FDA requirements and paperwork. Duties included helping the plant managers develop programs for tracking performance, preventative maintenance, safety equipment maintenance, and plant housekeeping. Completed required training for FDA requirements in products and maintenance using documentation and MOC.

for the restart an idle plant and several other efficiency projects increasing the capacity of the Delaware City site by 100%. Supported plant managers in resolving production, maintenance, and safety problems. Team member in completing a PSM audit of the Delaware City plant for the State of Delaware. Assisted in the rebuild and start-up of the Sioux City plant and the FDA validation of the Finley, WA carbon dioxide plant.

Oversaw 10 employees and an operating budget of over $2.5 million with annual sales exceeding 26,000 tons of dry ice. Accomplishments included improved reliability using preventive/predictive maintenance. Increased efficiencies in energy consumption and reduced product losses through careful production scheduling. Along with a safer work environment due to training, safety equipment, and labeling.
