As an Operations Engineer I was responsible for all drilling (including geo-steering), completions, re-completions and workover operations. I work closely with land, geology and Management team to execute operations as efficiently and safely as possible. Areas of responsibility include East Texas, Permian Basin and Oklahoma - vertical and horizontal prospects.Responsibilities include: Writing AFE’s and Procedures for all Horizontal and Vertical completions as well as recompletes and workovers; Designing and optimizing artificial lift design for new wells; Developed drilling & completion program for a continuous 1 rig program drilling 4000’ – 8,000’ laterals in an emerging E. Tx oil play.

As petroleum engineer I was responsible for the oversight of daily production as well as daily communication with field personnel to optimize production rates and minimize operating costs. Other responsibilities included: performing field reviews to identify underperforming wells; creating work over procedures and AFE preparation for management and partner approval.Areas of operation were East Texas and North Louisiana.

As an Operations Engineer I was tasked with the oversight of well performance, QA/QC of completion operations and facility maintenance.Responsibilities included: follow-up of action items generated from well reviews; downhole and surface equipment failure analysis; implementation of the first plunger lift system for the Haynesville shale; foamer treatment oversight; corrosion treatment management; QA/QC of various completion components including: frac fluids & proppant, packers & setting tools, slickline tools, frac water; oversee PM scheduling for various surface facilities; lead training effort for field engineers and mentor same.

As an Asset Manager I was responsible for writing completion & workover procedures as well as AFE preparation for the Haynesville Shale. Responsibilities included: design and implementation of multi-stage stimulation treatments using various types of proppant and fluid systems ranging from slick water to zirconate crosslinker for optimal proppant placement; perform economic analysis of frac job size relative to well performance; work closely with geology, drilling and field operations to optimize field performance – as a team, an unprecedented daily production rate of 2 BCF/day was achieved.

Drilling Engineer for various districts throughout Chesapeake including; Anadarko Basin, South Texas and Haynesville Shale. As a Drilling Engineer I was responsible for the design, development, review and implementation of drilling programs for a range of well types from HTHP vertical wells of Western Oklahoma to horizontal wells in the Haynesville Shale. Responsibilities included: design and implementation of drilling procedures to achieve HS&E and economic goals; management of complex drilling operations including both people and technology; work closely with drilling rig personnel, service contractors as well as other members of the exploration team; review and monitor mud, cement and bit programs as well as directional drilling plans; direct and prepare graphic presentations for management team such as days vs. depth curves, AFE vs. actual cost and well histories; prepare detailed reports on the status of drilling operations.
