I build strong relationships with those I work with, assist in developing the programs I integrate with, lead with care and enhance the lives of those I provide direct therapy. Although I am able to work well independently, I am also a dedicated member to any team. I aim to strengthen gaps, provide support and lead by example. Some of my accomplishments to-date have been:• Building an OT program from the ground up across multiple organizations and sites• Run youth groups of 100+ and having them engage in community-based activities and week long outdoor excursions• Helped veterans gain confidence and overcome symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder and anxiety through the use of surfing as a therapeutic medium• Independently organized a community running race to benefit childhood fitness by partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of America and another local non-profit organization, BBMJ Youth Health Sports Camp• Studying and living in the UK for nearly 10 years, working with deaf and/or blind individuals. Two of these years were also spent as a volunteer, teaching and improving the community• Conducted research on the impacts of running and also the benefits of surfing for at-risk youthI have skills you need to assist in your business development, leadership, management, setting up therapy programs, event planning, researching, funding, teaching, team work, sensory integration programs, community outreach, communication, providing holistic and person-centered therapy, and applying theory and research to practice.
