Responsibilities: Verification of all income streams, analysis of credit bureaus and monthly expenses of applicants to determine debt to income ratios. Working within both soft and hard matrix platforms to determine applicants eligibility. Speaking with customers directly to address any concerns with application. Working directly with other departments to assist in training opportunities.Accomplishments: Gaining the respect of my supervisors and peers. I’m fast learning, flexible,and a true team player/ company guy. I went from a temporary employee to underwriting in ~2 years. Was offered management positions in other departments however I wanted to proceed into underwriting to gain a better total perspective of the lending process.Skills used: The ability to solve mathematical equations, Communication, Detail orientation, Knowledge with working within strict compliance guidelines, Flexibility in working within an evolving matrix, working directly with the CLO on processes such as credit manual writing, targeted marketing, training materials for new underwriters to the company.
