About Chad Jensen
I have spent the last 23 years in the United States Air Force and will transition to the civilian sector in October of 2021. I took full advantage of every opportunity during my time and am fully prepared personally and professionally to move to the civilian sector. I spent the majority of my time managing aircraft, improving processes and leading people. Some of the key positions I have held are as follows:I spent 2 years as a Quality Assurance Chief Inspector for a 1400 personnel maintenance operation, including flight line maintenance, overhaul facilities and the major inspection dock. This also included hazardous material management and OSHA regulation adherence. During this time I was responsible to the Wing Commander in the execution of his quarterly exercise plan and defined the basis of exercise objectives. I was also responsible for performing trends analysis based on data projections, defining root cause, and recommending corrective actions to leadership. This information also aided my ability to adjust the surveillance plan based on the adopted recommended actions. As a Lead Production Superintendent, I was responsible for the management and availability of 28 KC-135 Tanker aircraft. My duties included monitoring scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as the maintenance discipline of 270 personnel. Additionally, I was responsible for the integration and evaluation of the organizations performance metrics driving fleet management decisions maximizing aircraft availability. I spent 2 years working directly for the Wing Commander as the KC-46 Pegasus Program Integration Superintendent where I was on the leading edge of the acquisition and bed down of a brand new weapon system for the first main operation base. I evaluated facility requirements, built training plans and defined new requirements as they related to FAA programs such as ETOPS and CASS. This position required communication with higher headquarters and General Officers on a daily basis. My last assignment in the Air Force was my most rewarding position as an Assistant Superintendent for the C-130 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Ramstein Airbase. I was directly responsible for the development, culture and discipline of 200 personnel. I performed regular performance evaluations, drafted recognition packages and enabled consistent feedback mechanisms between our valued personnel and leadership. My tenure in the USAF has given me opportunities to develop my leadership abilities and skills that are marketable and valuable in any organization.
