After graduating from Utah State University with a degree in Landscape Construction/Horticulture, I utilized my knowledge and skills in the golf course industry. I quickly advanced and earned a position as Golf Course Superintendent at both Thanksgiving Point Golf Course and Cedar Hills Golf Club. During that time I supervised between 5 and 30 crew members, designed and maintained irrigation systems, managed the daily maintenance activities and operating costs, and generally kept the golf course in top condition. Many high profile regional tournaments were held at Thanksgiving Point, which were both fun and challengingIn 2007 I decided to shift my career path and joined Contech Engineered Solutions as a Bridge/Sales Consultant. Drawing on my affinity for creating beautiful landscapes, I began learning the technical aspects of bridge design and construction. Working as part of a team of engineers, project managers, and sales consultants, I have been involved with several high profile bridge construction projects in Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. In 2012 I was awarded the highest award for sales achievements at Contech, known internally as the "CEO Club." Although my position has changed over the years at Contech, I have consistently earned Performance Awards and enjoyed finding effective solutions for the aging bridge infrastructure in our communities.
