Startup/ Commissioning a new wood biomass plant for eDF Renewable Energy.Responsible for supervising and operating the plant in a safe, environmentally sound and efficient manner. In addition; communicate objectives, train, direct and evaluate assigned personnel in accordance with Company policies and government regulations.• Supervises plant Auxiliary Operator, Fuel Supply Operator and other employees on daily operations of a Biomass Plant from record keeping to water chemistry.•Startup/Commissioning of Plant.•Operates Distributed Control System ABB 800xA.•Approves the start of all maintenance & operational activities that affect the facility or its equipment.•Adhere to all applicable health & safety, environmental and administrative policies, procedures and regulations.•Must follow proper event notification and communication protocols to management and regulatory agencies as applicable.•Attend morning, monthly and quarterly meetings.•Attends training, implements and pursues personal development goals.•Issues/Approves Lock out Tag out & Job Hazard Analysis for the facility.•Communicates with other support organizations to ensure operating activities are started and completed as scheduled. Oversee the work of other crafts during outages.•SAP experience.•Experience running outages & doing maintenance on equipment.•In the absence of Plant Management the Shift Supervisor is the senior most representative of the facility.

Operates and maintain boilers, turbines and generators. Does water chemistry associated with boiler operation. Runs a demineralization unit and a Siemens Reverse Osmosis unit.

Served on board the USS Carl Vinson. Cleaned, adjusted, tested and performed other preventive maintenance on ship boilers, main engines, turbo generators and other auxiliary machinery including steering engines, elevators, winches, pumps and associated valves.• Operated & Maintained a Class AW4 Nuclear Propulsion Plant.• Craftsman Maintenance Qualified• Quality Assurance qualified inspector.
