WesBank provides products and services to the Retail sector (R65billion Book – 32% market share, average loan term 48 months), the Wholesale market (R7billion book – 70% market share – Average loan term 28 days), Corporate market (R6.5billion book, Average loan term 36 months), Personal finance, Fleet finance & administration and has an Autocard division.Managed a team of 12, which included functional and technical resources.Responsible for the day-to-day management of the support team which supported around 4,000 users.Responsible for the upgrade from Oracle EBS v11.10.2 to Oracle EBS R12.1.3.Business process mapping and re-engineering.Included support and any custom development on the Financial Modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Purchasing, custom procurement module) and HR Modules (Core HR, Performance Management, Learning Management, Leave and Benefits).Managed Hyperion Budgeting v11.

Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

This role involved work that a project manager would do. I monitored the daily progress of the team (10-15 people) and would provide weekly status reports to the senior project management team. It was my responsibility to ensure that the team was on schedule and within budget. The monitoring included analysis, design, functional design documents for custom development, data mapping, cleansing and migration, system setup, user acceptance testing. Initially based in Amsterdam, I also worked from South Africa while successfully looking after a team of people based in Europe, USA and India. Senior analyst and lead for the development of Oracle iPayment. Oracle developed an integrated payment solution for Mattel that would allow the Mattel Shared Service Centre to process vendor payments for all of the European subsidiaries through one central portal. Citibank was also part of the development. My role was to lead the facilitation of development and testing of iPayment at Mattel in conjunction with Oracle and Citibank. Senior lead for Accounts Receivable, iPayment, Trade Management, Collections and Cash Management team lead for Northern, Western, Eastern and Central Europe, Latin America and North America. This includes monitoring of team tasks, weekly status reporting to the senior Cap Gemini project manager and the Mattel project manager and mentoring and training of client team members.Analysis and Design. Looking at the customer requirements was quite a challenge. I had to take individual country needs into account while ensuring that the global footprint was adhered to. It required negotiations to change the footprint in order to meet statutory requirements and to re-engineer local business processes in order to meet the global model I acted as the design session facilitator. Creation of Gap scenario documents and base application test scripts. Application setup for GL and FA.Participation in the design of the shared service center processes.
