Recommendations impacted the organisation’s 5-year programming activities and are leading to the increased profitability and inclusion of thousands of smallholder poultry, horticulture and rice farmers in the region. Facilitated 3-day strategic design workshop and drafted submission proposal supporting a 5-year, $30 million dairy sector advancement proposal. Key activities focused on long-term sustainability by addressing gaps in market linkages, capacity building needs, and the incorporation of an MFI ($1.57 million) and an Innovation Fund ($1 million), tying private and public actors across the value chain. Forecasted economic impact to deliver an increase of 177.2 million litres of milk and $76.8 million in increased revenue.
