As the Program Director for the Family Practice Renewal Program in Newfoundland and Labrador, I provide administrative oversight and direction for the program supporting family physicians in NL. I have over 20 years of experience working in community health settings and complex care systems, including home care, mental health/illness, residential supports, and child welfare. I have over 10 years of experience in administrating community-based organizations and programs.I am a licensed clinical social worker and a certified dual diagnosis specialist, with a passion for community-based care. I also serve as a public interest representative at the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's mental health care and treatment review board, and as a field instructor with Memorial University. I am a member in good standing and a certified health executive via the Canadian College of Health Leaders. My career’s focus has been focused on developing programs and services that meet the needs of communities, support development of leaders in healthcare, and promote policies that foster organizational sustainability.
