The result is one that most BIM Managers could only dream of.In what was reported as a world first at the time by Autodesk, a solution was devised to pull various data (such as project planning) from the enterprise system SAP into the Revit BIM.When this SAP data is mixed with the BIM data, new 'transformative' data is generated which is then push back out to SAP as a bill of quantities for purchasing.In order to achieve this high resolution of data manipulation, the Level of Detail in the BIM was down to every shelf bracket, or even every spoon. Now that's BIM!

Mirvac is synonymous with quality developments.During his time, Chad was a part of the design team as an Architectural Draftsman documenting mid-rise residential projects. As an early Revit adopter who understood the importance of BIM, he was employed to take the lead as a project Model Manager.The project which consumed most of Chad's time at Mirvac was the numerous towers at the Tennyson Reach site in Queensland.http://www.mirvacdevelopment.com/tennyson-reachDespite the current use of Revit across the company, no individual office at Mirvac at the time had any clear Revit standards for the modeling and documenting of projects.Chad helped lead a small team of Mirvac colleagues to create Revit standards. This process required working as a team to evaluate existing workflows and content, the development and testing, and then documentation.

Spaceframe Buildings is a Q400 company which has excelled in the design and construct market since the early-1970's.At the age of 19, Chad entered his career into the construction industry as a junior draftsman using Autodesk AutoCAD 12 software.His role then quickly progressed into designing industrial developments. This typically involved working directly with property developers, documenting the conceptual design, and finally the submission of development applications to the town planner.During his time with Spaceframe Buildings, Chad also found an interest in CAD Management which led him to recommending software purchases, and the implementation of Revit putting Spaceframe Buildings at the forefront of BIM technology usage.
