Reimagining the future of the company. As the business and strategy partner for the Innovation team, I am intent on building out creative enterprise solutions through design thinking and lean startup mindsets applied to the ambiguous and emerging advanced air mobility market - moving passengers, goods, and data via new and novel vertical lift solutions. I am bent on challenging status quo for the future of core and context in the company as we transform from a manufacturing OEM to a technology and systems provider. This has fostered the development of a deep network of domestic and international business relationships and strategic technology partnerships that are aligned to enable solutions for the emerging market for unmanned vehicles and services. I have publicly represented the company on various panels and speaking events including the Consumer Electronics Show while also engaging public (federal, state, and local levels) and private partners to help develop and influence the creation and support of policy, regulations, public acceptance, infrastructure, and operational standards. These efforts have led to the establishment of key technology partnerships (Microsoft Azure, Connected Vehicle, and AirSim), demonstration of technology proof of concepts (Yamato Logistics & Hillwood/Perot), and integration of operations and infrastructure providers (Japan Airlines, Sumitomo Corporation, AT&T, Uber).

Growing through enterprise value. I led Bell's capture campaign for the Indian Navy Utility Helicopter Program ($3.1B 111 aircraft program + support). I developed and nurtured a strategic partnership with Tata Industries as an indigenous manufacturer while collaborating with the program and engineering teams to developed a highly customized configuration of the Bell 429 platform to meet the rigorous mission needs of the Indian Navy. In collaboration with the engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, I assembled an international coalition of mission equipment suppliers that were positioned to meet the challenging offset/Make In India obligations. In concert with the Bell Customer Support team, we built out an in-country training and support package that included technology transfer and know how. As the Bell lead, I was the senior representative engaging at the highest levels within the Indian Navy and Ministry of Defense as well as the US and Canadian embassies to secure support and export approval for the Bell offering. Prior to bid submission, Textron declined to pursue the program further due to geopolitical concerns and internal resource constraints/prioritization.

Making the old new again. As enterprise leader of a legacy commercial product line (412), my international team developed, implemented, and certified a major systems upgrade to the propulsion and avionics systems. These upgrades maintained valuable positioning in the market and generated more than $80M of annual NOP - the highest NOP value and percentage of any commercial product at Bell. I also led the program management team during a 300 aircraft co-production capture campaign collaboratively developed with Fuji Heavy Industries/Subaru to meet the needs of the Japanese Ministry of Defense and Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry securing a contract award value > $300M.

Maximizing agility and creativity. Highly matrixed position with small, empowered team responsible for defining and developing V-22 future capabilities based on design thinking and culminating in future block upgrade and expanded domestic and international market opportunities in partnership with Boeing. Key projects included: Inlet Barrier Filter demonstrating 75% increase in time between engine overhauls, Aerial Refueling demonstrating new capability set for V-22 as a tanker aircraft, F-35 Engine Carrying Logistics demonstrating key capability to load F-35 power module into V-22 cargo bay, and Forward Firing Weapons demonstrating new operational capability to US Special Forces. Activity resulted in more than $50M in follow-on development contracts and an additional $3B / 37 additional aircraft sales from the US Department of Defense.

Enabling 2x manufacturing ramp. Created a new 30 member tactical and strategic procurement team for Air Vehicle Systems managing >$250M annual spend while negotiating and executing sole source, multi-year, $50M+ contracts. Drove long term contract penetration for tactical procurement to >90% to unlock procurement efficiency that enabled V-22 production to double over a 2 year period. implemented process discipline and data driven decision making to prioritize team work loads and projects.

Protecting warfighters. Project lead for military research and development, specializing in vulnerability reduction analysis methodologies and testing to improve combat survivability of rotorcraft. Successfully completed $3.1M contracted R&D effort with the US Army.
