Currently employed as a fire protection specialist, new business development manager, and lead technician, servicing the Pacific Northwest region of the U.S. (6 states) Proficient in fire protection inspections, installations, and repairs. As lead technician, some other responsibilities include scheduling, sales, customer service, quality control, supply chain management, managerial duties, and maintaining company protocol. As a fire protection specialist, it is my responsibility to be updated and informed on the most current codes and regulations written in NFPA literature. It is our responsibility to the customer to ensure that their fire equipment and their properties are in compliance with codes and regulations set by the local fire marshal. Prior to working in fire protection, I worked on a commercial fishing vessel in the Bering Sea as lead deckhand for five years. This job requires an ability to perform intense physical labor, in the most dangerous and hazardous conditions for sixteen hours a day. During that time, I served as crane operator on the twenty ton hydraulic crane on board. Operating the crane during potential emergency rescues and on-loading or off-loading procedures while vessel was in port. In addition to serving as deckhand and crane operator, I was also assigned the duties of being the vessels appointed fireman, in the event of a fire at sea. This includes attending all maritime fire training and safety courses required by the coastguard. This also includes training in life raft operations and man overboard rescue.
