Company Officer responsible for directing the overall financial and HR policies, procedures, staff and other resources. Work closely with other members of the senior leadership team to act as a business partner to the CEO. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and that accounting is in accordance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Manage banking relationships and business cash management requirements. Oversees processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting ensuring processes meet the needs of the business. Responsible for selection and implementation of any technology used within the financial services group. Monitor and report on a timely basis actual financial performance through analysis and reporting of significant variances to budget. Provide updated financial forecasts measuring impact on both a profitability and cash flow basis.

Financial officer responsible for management of all financial aspects of the business and its three manufacturing locations throughout the Midwest. Manage a team of 6 accounting personnel which perform various accounting functions from AP and AR to credit/collections and costing. Heavily involved in the analysis and integration of potential and completed acquisitions. Financial statement preparation and review as well as profitability and cash flow analysis. Work closely with our parent company CFO and accounting staff on tax preparation, banking transactions, as well as internal and external audit evaluations. Annual budget and quarterly forecast preparation and reporting to the Kent Executive Team. Work collaboratively with our sales and development groups on estimating, pricing and profitability of new and existing products.

Responsible for the consolidation and analysis of monthly financials for a $2 BUSD business split among 9 separate brands. Worked closely with brand CFO’s and controllers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Review of capital project submissions for corporate approval. Analysis of daily sales by brand and business segment. Financial Accounting Lead for Broyhill and Lane during and after the migration to centralized accounting in the St. Louis headquarters. Coordinated final budget consolidation and developed import process for detailed budget data by brand for the 2008 budget.

Progressed through several roles with increasing responsibility while at ABB. Initially as the Controller of Transformer Service in the US I was responsible for all financial activities of $30+ MUSD service product line including revenue recognition, inventory management, and forecasting. Also responsible for coordinating all general accounting functions including external reporting, AR, and AP.As the Controller for the Transformer Service Product Group for both North America and Globally I was responsible for extraction and analysis of financials for $250 MUSD global service business with 40 locations serving 90+ countries. Ensured compliance with GAAP standards and consistency throughout the reporting units. I worked closely with other site controllers to review forecasting and budgets.
