Chef & Manager with training through years of schooling, apprenticeships and work experience. I began my training in an accredited well respected high school vocational culinary arts program where I excelled and started to hone my skills. I was given an opportunity to apprentice a European Master Chef Ian Lloyd at the opening of The Mansion Inn's kitchen in New Hope, PA. I worked alongside him for a year and a half until I went off to Johnson & Wales - Providence, RI for college. I graduated Johnson & Wales with an Associates in Food & Beverage Management and a Bachelors in Food Service Management.After college I spent 5 years as a sous chef for an upscale casual restaurant owned by Select Restaurants. After leaving that position I spent nearly 8 years as a lead Sous chef for an upscale senior living facility Normandy Farms (an ACTS life property). When I chose to leave that position I was given my first opportunity as an Executive Chef & Director of Dining for another senior living company. This is where I currently work and feel I have made great strides to make our dining program a success, well respected by staff/residents/upper management. I have been in this position since not long after they opened their doors and have helped to have a new menu system designed, implemented Sunday brunches, executed events, fought through labor issues, covid & multiple building flooding emergencies to list a few. My dedication is unquestioned, my attendance is near perfect since I began working at 14/15, my willingness to help when and where needed is immense. I believe I am a smart, diligent worker who will look for ways to improve & streamline operations. I prove myself to others with a work ethic that speaks for itself. I have left all my positions on my own accord. I have experience in: Prep, sauté, grilling, smoking, baking, broiling, sous vide etc. I am strong in both savory and sweet and have spent a lot of time improving my baking skills over the last few years at the current position. I have created menus, done costing, been responsible for all ordering, scheduling, staffing, reviews, hiring/firing and more. While FOH is not quite the passion that food is... I excel in providing excellent customer service and overseeing quality service. I also am creative & strong with my computer skills.
