New role of Systems Administrator at Master Butchers Co-operative

This role is a combination of a few different roles: Help Desk, Systems Administrator, Mobile Phone support. Help desk involves 1st and 2nd level support for hard/software. Systems Administrator involves PC and Server/switch purchase, setup and maintenance, AD and Exchange admin, VoIP maintenance, Confluence Atlassian Wiki support and maintenance, maintaining productive relationships with external parties, MS Windows Server 2003/2008 maintenance and Spiceworks Help Desk admin.Mobile phone support invovled the setup, maintenance and support for the Apple and Android phones as well as maintaining the accounts with the providers.

This was a contract job I took while looking for a full time position. The role involved 1st level support for internal employees for PC hard/software, AD and Exchange administration, Financial application support, and Windows XP-7 support.

I started at Baycom as a Network Support Tech, maintaining the Help Desk and reporting to the System Administrator. After a couple of months took over the role as Systems Administrator when he was promoted. Systems Administrator role involved Help Desk, AD maintenance, Exchange maintenance, and PC hard/software support.During my time at Baycom, I updated the IT policies, especially those involved with software installations. I resolved issues with viruses on the network, with the updated policies and the deployment of McAfee EPS across the network. The network consisted of one main office and 3 satellite offices.Also deployed WSUS to the company network.

Survived 3 months of Basic training, then 3 months of AIT (Advanced Individual Training). Worked as a Automated Logistics Specialist for 6 months then started on Officer training. This was cut short due to moving back to Australia.The Officer training was very stressful but rewarding. Very much a crash course in management of a team of people.

This role was mainly Help Desk support for the company's ISP, as well as third party ISPs, using Dialup, DSL, Fibre and Wireless. Supporting Windows 98 to Vista, as well as Apple Macintosh. DSL, Dialup and Email account setup and maintenance.Also repairing customer PCs, both hardware and software.

PC and Network hard/software maintenance and support. ERP software support. MS Windows Server 2000/2003 AD maintenance and support. Help Desk support (Windows 98-XP) for internal employees.

1st and 2nd level Help Desk support for ISP customers and internal employees. Responsible for the maintenance of the company support website. PC Hardware and Software troubleshooting and repair.Point-to-multi point wireless broadband installation, monitoring and troubleshooting.Also involved in installation of networks for Baraga Area Schools, US Navy, Ojibwa Tribal Housing and other local businesses.
