Significant focus on thermal sensor/actuator arrays and their use in continuous, precision thermal, hydration and blood flow mapping.• 4 years leading flexible electronics research teams to project completion in the form of many peer-reviewed publications (Nature Materials, Advanced Healthcare Materials, and many others), translation to practice (product implementation in clinical healthcare studies), and lab to production scale-up (50-1000 devices/batch pilot testing)• 4 years mentoring 1 doctoral and 8 undergraduate students in conducting research on world changing technology. Undergraduate students have been offered numerous technical positons in graduate programs and industry, including positions at Stanford, MIT, Mayo Clinic, Jawbone and ExxonMobil• Collaborate with groups around with world including academic colleagues, medical professionals and industry partners based in the United States, England, France, Finland and China.• Widespread communication of technical results in the form of publications, invited talks and interviews for national media (Discovery News, Nanowerk, Qmed, Big Ten Network and others).• Bring in substantial fundraising from government grants (NSF and NIH) and industry partners.• Serve on facility staff hiring committees
