Police Chief- Plans, directs, manages and oversees the activities and operations of the Police Department including law enforcement, crime prevention and crime suppression programs; coordinates assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies.K-9 Handler-Principal duty is to aid law enforcement as a locating tool. Responsible for seeing that the K-9 continues to receive the training that keeps the team proficient. To perform daily grooming and inspections of the K-9 and responsible for the overall well-being of K-9 partner.Maintain bond with K-9, and how to properly communicate commands to the dog and to reinforce the desired behaviors. Maintain regular training and records for various events such as finding hidden drugs, missing people, lost items or other trained behaviors.

During my internship I have helped with typical daily chores and maintenance. I have also assisted in all aspects of breeding duties, prepping and handling mares for ultrasounds, stallion handling, semen collection. I also perform or assist in freeze-branding, vaccinations, foal delivery, dental checkups, castration, caslicks and micro chipping. My official internship was 8 weeks, but still get called to help on an as needed basis.

Assist in stall cleaning, daily barn/ranch maintenance and upkeep as instructed. Saddle, warm up and cool down horses. Grooming and Turn-back work.
