Chad Alexander Smith, AIA, RID, LEED® AP holds a Masters of Architecture degree from Princeton University where he studied directly under superstar architects Michael Graves and Peter Eisenman and architectural theorist Mark Wigley. He has completed studies at the Ecole Nationlale Superierure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Georgia Institute of Technology. He is president of CAS ARCHITECURE an Atlanta based architectural design boutique studio.Founded in 2004, CAS ARCHITECTURE strives with each project to inspire and engage its clients. We believe Architecture is about transforming the world. We further believe Architecture is still an art having the opportunity and responsibility to inspire – both in its execution (when you walk into an inspiring space) and in its process (when you work collaboratively on a design).CAS ARCHITECTURE does not create watermarks.     In the fall of 2003, Chad Alexander Smith ran a successful campaign to become a Council Member for the City of Snellville. On May 12th, 2004, Chad was elected Mayor Pro Tem by the City Council. Some of his accomplishments include:-The Council approved a Charter change for a new City Manager form of government. -The Council approved a City wide smoking ordinance. -The Council created a Corridor Overlay District for Hwy. 78.-The Council created a Downtown Overlay District. -Snellville was awarded a $2.2 million LCI grant for Town Center Projects. -The Council developed a new Park Master Plan for Briscoe Park.-Snellville was recertified as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. -The Council approved Spohntown’s $71 million mixed-use planned development in the Downtown Overlay District. -The Council oversaw the $10 million City Hall and Senior Center complex construction.
