Appoxy LLC specialized in agile development of applications on cloud technologies. We focused on strategy, architecture, and implementation of cloud-based technologies for companies in both the enterprise space as well as small to mid-market.With a team of developers we built a set of backend systems that handled backups, deployment, and scheduled data processing which we ended up releasing under the "Simple" brand as SimpleDeployr.com, SimpleWorkr.com, and SimpleBackr.com.SimpleWorkr really took off so we phased out our client work, rebranded SimpleWorker as IronWorker, and launched our new venture-backed company Iron.io.

My team primarily sold Oracle Database and my role was to carry a $2.2M group middleware quota which included identity management, content management, and app server. I had the amazing opportunity early in my career to learn how to sell at Sprint. As a developer, I was dropped into a team helping 9 account executives sell mobile technology services and embedded solutions. I built recurring revenue streams through on-site customer interactions, designing and deploying enterprise solutions around mobile broadband Internet services, work order management software, GPS tracking, distributed media content, and CRM tools. But really, what I learned was how to get up the nerve to walk confidently into all sorts of uncomfortable situations.

Built a charity engine to facilitate the process of donating money to charities on a recurring basis as well as allowing donors to connect with each other through an online social networking site.Incorporated as a 501©3 non-profit organization with the state of California and the federal IRS. End-to-end design and build of the webapp using Ruby on Rails in the middle, MySQL on the backend, and XHTML/HTML with splashes of AJAX on the front.Grew to over 300 donors within 12 months of launch and very little marketing as a side project, generating over $3,000/month in donations. Began to realize that this was much more than a side project so with their permission, migrated each donor to NetworkForGood, a similarly aligned organization.
