I spent 25 years in software--I was a tester, coder, architect, CTO, evangelist, and tea-leaf reader setting technical direction. I worked in IT and on operating systems, but spent the majority of my time on smartphones. I was often a conduit between executives and engineering teams, helping the groups understand each other. Then for 12 years I advocated (mostly as a volunteer) for electric vehicles because they are more fun to drive, more convenient, and cheaper to own. They are also better for our economy, national security, and environment. There is still much work to be done on infrastructure, and while there will be growing pains, no new technologies or extravagant funds are required - the timing may be in question, but the switch is inevitable.I now consider myself retired. When I have time I like to study the sciences - pretty much anything, but evolutionary psychology has been my pet interest for several decades. I have had many different goals throughout my life, but one constant principle I have tried to follow is to make things easier for those that share my time here, as well as those that will follow.
