Established myself as a resource to peers and managers in a large, multi-site, international Linux environment. Developed multiple automation tools utilizing shell scripts, Python, and Ansible. Troubleshot and contributed to Puppet modules and manifests for system orchestration. Ran maintenance and upgrade activities on Kafka and Mesos and Docker implementations. Managed hardware and software incidents in ServiceNow.

Specifically hired to bring a higher level of knowledge about all things Apple to a 95% new team in a new store in North Charlotte. Driving results, while maintaining a high level of technical knowledge. Additionally called upon to support the stores’ Business Manager because of expertise and experience. Work along side managers to identify areas of opportunity in the store, and help identify and propagate best practices.

Hired to bring a level of technical expertise to the business team in an established store. Handled most business consultations, and championed several initiatives with a staff of nearly 200. Worked closely with all departments to develop leaders that could see the business from a larger perspective.

Hired to maintain client relationships and develop projects. These included network infrastructure installation at new and existing sites, implementation of anti-virus software, installation of VOIP phone systems, and collocation facility server deployment and maintenance. Other responsibilities included regular visits to clients in response to trouble tickets or to ascertain their needs, writing project proposals, and developing new clients. This job utilized my ability to interface with non-technical people and technical people and interpret the desires of the clients into workable projects.

Hired to see the company through a transition of corporate leadership and physical location. This included the building of a new site in another state. Oversaw the planning of a multiple building sites and had direct influence over all aspects of technology planning for the project. Installed all network devices in new location and personally delivered all equipment from old corporate office to new facility. New sites included a complete rework of network infrastructure, VPN tunnels between multiple sites, integrated VOIP phones systems, and tele-presence solutions.

Hired to help with the startup of a company manufacturing medical products for outpatient surgeries. Responsibilities were varied, including research, preparation, and submission of FDA required paperwork, developed manufacturing procedures and engineering test procedures. Acted as quality control engineer, troubleshooting malfunctions with the product and creating a documentation system for tracking revisions of manufacturing procedures for FDA compliance. Setup and maintained all technology. Development of sales and inventory tracking system working closely with sales and accounting on procedural impact. Developed database for tracking employee hours. Trained and managed production staff. Planned, shot, edited, and mastered training videos for distribution to clients. Implemented and maintained a surveillance system to monitor traffic throughout the facility.

Provided direction for information technology while working with site directors and executives. Designed and implemented networks between facilities in 3 locations in 2 states. Developed databases for all aspects of the organization tailored to the individual needs of each site and worked with web developers on design of company site. Researched and evaluated all technology interests, facilitated and supervised company wide hardware and software migrations, implemented security measures and trained end users on software.
