Primarily responsible for the user interface design and architecture of the client portion of a rich client/server application built using C# .NET. This application, which is used to manage large-scale clinical laboratories, exemplifies a cutting-edge user experience and makes extensive use of the Windows Presentation Foundation UI technology. This technology allows my team to create advanced information visualizations far beyond what competitors can realize.In addition, I am tasked with overseeing the visual design of the product. This ensures a consistent and professional look to the application (screenshots can be made available).Another part of my work has been coordinating efforts with the back-end development team to ensure smooth operation of the application under load. Maximum load of the system requires approximately 60,000 clinical tests processed per hour. Ensuring that the architecture of the front-end components work with this level of data throughput was my responsibility.As part of an effort to expand the reach of the Informatics footprint, I initiated a project to create an Apple iPhone application to display key information from the main system in a remote form factor. To accomplish this I learned Objective-C and the iPhone SDK and produced a working prototype.

Key member of architecture team responsible for the complete rewrite and redesign of a core Peopleclick application - the candidate career portal.Replaced an aging, Microsoft ASP-based platform with scalability and performance issues with an Enterprise-level Java web application deployed on Weblogic.Responsible for designing the improved user experience for the new web application.The technical design was a true multi-tenant architecture capable of hosting thousands of career sites, each with unique branding, business rules, and behavior on one code base and deployment environment. Developer of interactive computer games targeting the Windows CD-ROM market.Designed and implemented classes and systems for building graphical interfaces, animations, windowing systems, time-dependent events, links to COM components, interactive sound, and inventory systems.Developed tools and COM components in Java, C++, and Visual Basic. The tools, which operated on a relational database, were used to create computer games.

Designed and implemented the graphical user interface of a database application using Visual Basic and Java. This application consisted of over 60 screens and was the main product under development within Imonics.Responsible for all graphic design used in the application.
