• Lead a team of five senior level technicians during the first stages of battery pack prototype build and integration.• Identified, documented, and worked to resolve battery pack engineering and production problems during the early prototype stages which saved the company over $200,000.• Developed production processes for the new battery pack which greatly increased the efficiency of manufacturing.• Designed more than fifteen different internal battery wiring harnesses and harness management parts using SolidWorks and Catia CAD software including creating schematics and 2D documentation drawings.• Brought designed parts through the engineering design process from prototype to full production.• Preformed inventory management for over one hundred parts of the BOM for building battery packs.• Interacted directly with a variety of over ten internal teams within Tesla including engineering, supply chain, quality control, new product integration, testing, and production. • Developed relationships with more than five suppliers and their sales, management, quality, and engineering teams.

• Worked with the diverse Smart Cities Group to design the City Car, a vehicle to be the perfect city automobile. • Researched and designed a parking space inductive charging system for electric vehicles. • Brainstormed, designed, prototyped, and produced a driving simulator based on the City Car’s user interface design.• Fabricated proof of concept prototypes using a laser cutter to evaluate the feasibility of new designs including in-wheel electric motor, brake, and suspension systems.
