We developed and implemented the governance of the new annual $100M+ ISC program in which 20 Government of Canada departments and agencies must create challenges for industry to solve, with target starting Technology Readiness (TRL) 1-4, developed in two phases. In Phase 1, awarded SMEs will develop a proof-of-concept of their proposed solution. Those selected to go on to Phase 2 will develop a prototype for their solution, targeted to be about TRL 7. Procurement and/or commercialization can follow several routes.NRC-IRAP is involved at several stages, including assisting in the development of challenges, assessing proposals, reviewing Phase 1 results, and reviewing Phase 2 results.
