I've had a love for technology since my youth. From simply building a desktop computer from parts, to architecting entire data-center infrastructures, my love for technology has never been greater. It Director / Senior Systems Administrator
Spearhead IT operations team including in-house Helpdesk staff and Datacenter support personnel located in USA and Canada. Developed and maintained company policies and procedure documentation. Responsible for development of IT strategies on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure efforts. Prepare RFP and client audit requests for continued sales opportunities and client security compliance. Maintain relationship with vendors to negotiate and secure infrastructure-specific products and services. Define and maintain hardware standards across entire organization. Mentor and guide IT staff on projects, training, compliance, etc.Accomplishments----Spearheaded the technical requirements for SOC II Type I in 2012 and SOC II Type II in 2013.----Overhauled entire IT operations monitoring and alerting platform to allow greater visibility into system issues. Also allowed for significant increase in alert response time and resolution.----Assigned as Acquisition Team Lead over IT operations when company acquired one of its main competitors.----Re-architected a Microsoft SQL Data Warehouse Farm to enable database performance gains 10 fold while still staying within budget.----Setup and configured an open-source helpdesk ticketing system. Through this new system we were able to gather important metrics which allowed us to report and improve the IT department operations across the entire company.----Revamped IT Infrastructure monitoring platform to allow greater visibility into system issues. Dramatically increased response time and time to resolution.
