Gigi's is a cupcake bakery franchisor with about 100 units nationwide; the country’s largest and fastest-growing cupcake bakery chain and featured on an episode of Under Cover Boss in February 2015. We were able to restructure the operations and marketing teams as well as overhaul IT by putting in place the leading synced technologies; all which led to a 15% same store sales turnaround. Gigi's was then sold to a privately held company in June 2016.

I leveraged my background as a public company chief financial officer to provide high-level financial and strategic leadership as a CFO consultant to diverse clientele; clients have included a clean energy company, a software and social media startup, a restaurant chain, and a dot-com.

I joined this highly complex real estate development and construction company as the financial leader during the time of dramatic growth in which assets under development more than doubled to $1.7 billion. While serving as Chief Financial Officer, company added to its single-family residential development and homebuilding operation, rolling out multi-family, office, and retail development and construction. Profits increased 5X during my tenure.As unofficial COO, I provided leadership to architecture and engineering design, land planning, horticulture, infrastructure construction, and mortgage departments.

I directed all financial affairs during a sustained high-growth period; the restaurant chain grew from 8 stores to 320 stores in 26 states and nearly $1 billion in sales during tenure as Chief Financial Officer and Controller. My CFO highlights included IPOs and secondary public offerings, a major balance sheet recapitalization, a $160 million acquisition, and franchising setup. We enjoyed industry-leading same-store sales increases for many consecutive years, and we were also recognized by Forbes as one of the Top 200 Best Companies in America for three straight years.
