DUTIES & AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Performs server related installation tasks – installation of operating systems, raid configuration, installation of application components.· Performs server related configuration and management tasks – users, file systems, kernel settings, network.· Performs server hardening to secure the systems from known risks and vulnerabilities.· Defines and perform server backups and recovery procedures.· Proactively monitors server environment for optimum performance and provides support for testing environments during UAT and development phases.· Plans and implements server and application upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.· Works closely with Database Administrators to configure software and hardware so that it functions optimally.· Performs server migration and cutover to production; provides onsite support during these activities.· Provides support during UAT and development phases.· Addresses and resolves assigned incident in a timely escalation.· Collaborates with external entities (e.g. vendors) on trouble tickets / filed cases.

Responsible for performing daily operational tasks like storage provisioning and maintaining availability at the customer site(s). Provisions storage based on standardized procedures as outlined by EMC best practice documentation.Provides proactive recommendations to the customer for improving storage operations and/or effective use of EMC storage solutions to help maximize their satisfaction with EMC.Actively contributes to the configuration, layout and performance tuning of storage infrastructure.Participates in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans as agreed upon by EMC and the customer.Participates in the design and operational execution of the customer's storage disaster recovery process as required.Represents EMC in a professional manner to customers, EMC Partners and other EMC personnel at all times. May be required to support and train both customers and less experienced co-workers.Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance and necessary data migration, as required.

Responsible for monitoring and analyzing data logs from the administered serversPerform major and minor configurations, maintenance of servers and storageManagement of Database (Firebird), Web and File Server BackupTroubleshoot, diagnose and resolve server and storage related problems such as corrupted database and files, client cannot connect to server and hardware problemHandles evaluation, installation and implementation of new projects such as backup system, Storage capacity upgrade, new programs and other related components for Server Infrastructure ImprovementsManagement of servers and storageSupervisory of 24/7 TechniciansManage the Documentations of Server and Storage EquipmentsImplementing Disaster recovery procedure (Backup Server and Storage).
