As my children's entertainment industry business manager I coordinate and schedule all bookings, and auditions with their talent representatives. I serve as acting coach, manage personal appearances/publicity, oversee financial matters, review contracts/negotiations and research future business opportunities. Screenwriter, Children's Book Author, and Actor, Chad Gilkison, presents Little Chad, a monologue collection about what it's like to grow up gay in a small Midwestern town and survive. Blending comedy with tragedy he spins a collection of stories only his childhood self could tell. Through the voice of "Little Chad" he tackles the subjects of racism, divorce, bullying, homosexuality, gender confusion, abuse, alcoholism, religion and death with the uncensored directness, and honesty of an innocent child. Chad shares the intimate details that shaped his adult life and led him on his own path to fatherhood. No one here comes out unscathed, not even the ones he's loved the most. These stories unfurl into a journey from innocence to experience, and from self-doubt to self-determination. Chad Gilkison was born in Wilmington, Ohio in 1971 and is a graduate of The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He lives in Sunnyside, Queens with his husband, Scott Parrish, and their twins, Lukas & Olivia. Little Chad is from the writer of the award winning screenplays, Kate & Co., The Decoration of Houses, and A Man’s World... His first children’s picture book, Dear Cinderella, (Scholastic) is in stores now.
