For completion of my Masters degree, my thesis was an extension of my undergraduate work; however, now using several geostatistical interpolation techniques (specifically kriging) to reconstruct seasonal atmospheric pressure anomalies across the entire Antarctic continent in a spatially complete manner (temporally and horizontally complete) back to 1905. The spatial domain of this reconstruction extends from the South Pole to 60ºS. This is of importance due to the lack of direct observations around the continent, especially prior to ~1957 and because of the known deficiencies in atmospheric reanalyses prior to 1979. Furthermore, it will be used to examine the uniqueness of trends seen today across the continent and analyze them on a centennial timescale.

I taught two sections of a weekly climatology lab. This lab was statistics-based, so I lectured and assisted students using Microsoft Excel and basic Energy Balance Models to perform many different routine climatological calculations. I was also responsible for weekly grading of labs in a timely manner.

I was responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our Scalia Laboratory website and also the Ohio University Chapter of the American Meteorological Society's website. I have a good knowledgeable level of HTML coding and experience. I was also responsible for keeping tabs on our current observations and making sure that all observations are correct and weather instruments are functioning properly.

During my undergraduate career, I was a part of the Scalia Laboratory Research Team under supervision of Dr. Ryan Fogt. I also worked along side several other colleagues for this funded NSF project.
