I like pencils. I like the tactile sensation of the carbon scraping across the page. I like the feeling of a fresh start every time you begin to write after pulling one out of the sharpener. There is a sense of accomplishment when you have worn it down to the point where you can’t really write with it anymore and you take a new one out of the box. Pencils are old school. No pretense. Not flashy or trendy. They are classic. That is the kind of banker I am. Stable, consistent, dependable, hardworking, familiar. I find that prospects, clients, and co-workers are drawn to me the same way you are drawn to that familiar smell and feel of a freshly sharpened pencil.I am a banker fashioned in the mold of how banking used to be done. As a former business owner, I have sat on both sides of the desk. I can meet you where you are. My primary focus is on developing the relationship … sincerely. Not some flashy, in your face approach that has no real long-term success.I am a committed member of this community. I have lived here for over thirty years. I am both a Bronco and a Hornet. It is difficult for me to walk down the street and not know many of the people I pass. I have spent years developing relationships with CPAs, attorneys, business owners, bankers, and community leaders all to help me be a better banker and community member. If you run your business the same way, I feel strongly that I would be able to take the experience I bring and produce immediate, measurable, and broad contributions if we were to work together. When you have a minute, please give me a call and we can grab a cup of coffee and talk. And know that I will show up with my pencil sharpened.
