About Chad Groer

My specialized expertise in molecular, cellular, and behavioral pharmacology is a perfect complement to the diverse expertise at Kanpecia. Since joining Kanpecia, I have been involved in all aspects of product research and development. Kanpecia president, Dr. Daniel Aires, is a dermatologist who routinely sees alopecia patients. Craig Paddock, CFO, has more than 12 years of experience in marketing and business development; his role at Kanpecia is negotiation of contracts, financial planning, and investor recruitment. I spent most of my early career studying agonist-directed signaling and behavior in the context of opioid drugs. My work has focused on molecular mechanisms of G protein-coupled receptor regulation with respect to drug-induced animal behaviors. In addition, I have a strong background in medicinal chemistry, establishing SAR of natural products. Based on this work, I was awarded an SBIR Phase I grant from NIDA and a Kansas Biosciences Authority grant to develop a novel opioid compound. We successfully accomplished the Aims of the proposals and the product continues development.
