This hands-on engagement allows me to stay current with industry advancements, while contributing to technology that empowers clinicians and elevates the quality of patient care.

Educate HIMSS members and Members of Congress and their staff on key issues to actually proposing and writing draft legislation. Work closely with key federal and state level decision-makers to advance improvements in the quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare.

I provided leadership, project management and clinical relevance to the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase. I had the opportunity to work closely with a variety Healthcare IT Vendors (Epic, Cerner, AllScripts, eCW, Philips, GE, plus many more) from around the world to demonstrate the benefits of using standards-based interoperable health IT solutions for effective and secure health data information exchange (DICOM, HL7, FHIR).

Clinical Informatics Nurse and Workflow Specialist: Responsible for participating in the planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of assigned Clinical Information Systems across the Healthcare System.
