About Chadia Mansour, Edd

Chadia Mansour, (EdD) is an expert in Open Flexible Digital and Distance Education, instructional designer, applied linguist, language educator with over 20 years of higher education experience in North America and the MENA regions. Chadia is also a Fulbright Alumna, researcher, and teacher trainer. She is a frequent national/international presenter, keynote speaker, and leader in Second/Foreign Languages and Open Digital and Distance Education fields. Her academic and professional expertise are grounded in theories of distance education, online and blended learning/teaching second language acquisition (SLA), cross-linguistic and cross-cultural communications, instructional design, adult learning theories, adult teaching and pedagogy/andragogy, universal design for learning (UDL); task -centred and project- based learning.  Chadia's doctoral research is in distance education and online learning with a focus on multimodal web-conferencing environments (MWCE) and online assisted second language acquisition. Her professional experience includes holding leadership positions, such as, directing, coordinating and training for foreign/second language programs, and thesis supervisory for undergraduate linguistics, students at The College of William and Mary, Old Dominion University, Christopher Newport University, USA.  She has been involved in Education Leadership, such as Director of ESP Program USA; Executive Board Member, International Association for Blended Learning; Executive Board Member TEFL Kuwait; Chair of Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Chair of English as a Foreign Language IS, and Nominating Committee TESOL International; ICDE Ambassador for OER Global Advocacy and OERAC Member.Chadia has worked on a number of leadership projects that involve instructional and course design for online and blended learning, curriculum development and knowledge mobilization and capacity building for Open Educational Resources (OER) around the world. Related publications: Rauliuk, M., Doran, M., Al-Tawil, R., & Mansour, C.
