I had the honor of serving as Campaign Manager for now Councilwomen Patricia Spitzley. Prior to serving the community, Patricia worked with the RACER Trust Fund as their Deputy Re-Development Manager. During the campaign i had the opportunity to manage a $14,200 dollar budget, and coordinated the Councilwomen 4 fundraisers, multiple field outreach operations, and press outreach.

East Lansing, Mi

With great honor having the opportunity to stand as Campaign Manager to a mentor of mine Steve Ross. Previous to running for East Lansing City Council, Steve served as Campaign field lead to Barack Obama for the East Lansing MI area, and is currently working with Practical Political Consulting’s in Lansing, MI. As campaign manager I was able to connect voters to Steve and to organizer and assist in the overall fundraising, field operations, and press outreach during the campaign.

Managed 8 staff and 12 interns who work statewide to engage communities in the need to register for health care on the federal exchange, recruit volunteers, and building partnerships across the state. This included managing a schedule of community events, coordinating phone banking, and meeting with community leader’s one-on-one.Coordinate outreach with 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 partners, including Planned Parenthood, Cherry Street Health Center, Detroit Hospitals, Grand Rapids Public Schools, and local churches. Each partnership created a strategic action plan that continues to guide their collaboration.Provided training's to enrollment assisters around using digital scheduling tools. My training made it possible for a total of 23,381 consumer appointments to be booked with assisters throughout Ingham, Wayne, Kent and Portage, Oakland, and Jackson County.Oversaw a team that collected 75,417 commitments to get enrolled, which was third best in the nation. Notable, Michigan worked with fewer organizers than other states to achieve this number.

West Michigan

Executing the organizing strategy in the region. This includes the day-to-day management of 8 volunteer organizers and successfully coordinating partner outreach events with local West Michigan groups work around outreach, enrollment, and ACA implementation.

Nevada

• Managed a team of 17 active volunteers and 2 Get Out The Vote staging locations • Registered 7,873 new voters, knocked on nearly 19,500 doors and made 27,954 calls through Election Day.• Oversaw campus outreach and volunteer recruitment at the University of Nevada Las Vegas• Staffer of multiple segregate event including 4 visits from President Obama.• Combined, these efforts lead to an increased voter turnout of 9,000 votes in Clark County.
