Chad co-owned a successful $50M international import/export lumber brokerage firm originally founded in 1982. Greenwood operated as a unique brokerage in that it was a hybrid manufacturer and distributor. Investing in, and partnering with, mills and distributors around the world to develop new products and provide unmatched service standards. Chad led the turnaround and restructured the company as CEO and CMO, rebounding from annual revenues cut in half from the housing market crash to sustained growth and improved profitability. He implemented initiatives to grow the customer base, expand into new markets, and develop new products. Chad’s branding and new product launch proved the most successful in the company’s 30 year history resulting in improved customer retention as well as new business development.

Miller Nash, a regional law firm founded in 1873 with 3 offices, 30+ practice areas, and over 150 lawyers in the early 2000s, hired Chad to develop, implement, and managed the firm’s complex strategic marketing initiatives. Originally hired as the assistant director, Chad was promoted to director as a result of his contributions to the award winning Web site, the highly effective and growing annual seminars he facilitated, and the successful marketing coaching he provided to the practice groups and individual lawyers. Chad oversaw all requests for proposals, managed all firm collateral, facilitated all company PR, ads, and sponsorships, organized all events and seminars, and was responsible for the marketing budget.
