Dedicated and versatile research scientist with a focus in T cell antigen recognition, functional capacity, and memory generation. Studied CD8+ T cell responses in naive antiviral HCV specific T cells, and antigen experienced CMV specific CD8+ T cells responding to ongoing human Cytomegalovirus infection in different aged individuals to better understand conserved mechanisms in formation and maintenance of immunological memory. Used TCR affinity and signal transduction to predict T cell responses during CMV infection, and TCR repertoire analysis in combination with TCR affinity matched TCR sequences to determine optimum TCR affinity for memory recruitment and long term maintenance of immunological memory.
