Led department and enterprise-wide efforts for the nation's leading community based nonprofit, with over 2700 locations serving 10,000 communities and over 24 million individuals, 9 million of which are under 18 years of age in addition to a global presence in 119 countries around the world. Effective, inspiring, relevant and adaptable keynote speaker, workshop presenter, discussion facilitator and safe/brave space convener. Charged with team leadership towards building organizational capacity, advancing organizational and societal equity across multiple dimensions of diversity (i.e., ability, age, faith, gender/gender identity, ideology, income, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, and more), fostering inclusion and nurturing cultural competence to ensure that all segments of society may access and thrive at and through the Y. Provides executive level consultation, coaching and support to senior Y staff and volunteer leaders nationally as well as peers from across the nonprofit sector towards development of diversity, equity, inclusion and global organizational strategies, operational efforts and community engagement approaches. Directs national partnership efforts towards fostering social cohesion and strengthening diverse communities for all. Supervisory responsibility for three national D&I Managers. Key business and thought partner, and de-facto ‘chief of staff/strategy officer’ for SVP/Chief Diversity Officer. Provides strategic guidance and oversight for Employee Resource Groups, Communications, Community Bridge Building & Engagement, ADA Compliance and Inclusion, crisis response, team service delivery, training design, resource development and more. Organizational lead for development of national partnership with the Biden Foundation around LGBTQ Inclusion and Equity.

Led national diversity, inclusion & global strategies fostering engagement of underserved communities through capacity building trainings, tools, resources and strategic consultation aimed at building bridges of trust, empathy & understanding. Working towards ensuring access, inclusion and engagement for all in more than 2700 Ys across the nation!- Provided strategic consultation, service delivery and executive support to Ys across the United States towards advancing diversity, inclusion and global engagement- Led tool, training, strategy and resource development around ADA inclusion, special needs programming, supplier diversity, GLBT inclusion, inclusive membership policies, board diversity, diversity & inclusion business case, operational models and more- Trained more than 500 staff and volunteers annually on diversity & inclusion, global engagement and cultural competency - Developed 'Engaging Asian / Pacific Islander Communities' training and piloted it in cities across the U.S. - Led local and national efforts to support engagement of Asian & Pacific Islander communities- Supported Ys around GLBT inclusion, interfaith work and supplier diversity - Co-led national partnership with Bank of America and served as project manager for 'Bridging the Gap' community based mentoring program - launched in nine cities across the U.S. - Assisted with program, document, grant and resource reviews for the youth development and healthy living teams of Y-USA- Served as 'subject matter expert' on topics of diversity, inclusion, global and multicultural engagement at numerous conferences, events, trainings, webinars and meetings

U.S. representative and advisor to global working, learning group and 'community of influence' charged with creating, socializing, refining and implementing relevant world-wide social inclusion platforms, resources, and safe space framework for Ys in 119 countries in partnership with six YMCA Area Alliances from across the world. Work is ongoing and evolving.

Provided strategic and operational leadership and support to a 4 million dollar international services budget, directly impacting more than 5,000 youth & young adults annually; envisioning, leading & managing global exchange, service/experiential learning and education programs serving youth and young adults from the Greater New York City area, across the United States, and around the world.- Wrote and recieved numerous grants of up to $750K from private, public and government entities- Served as alternate responsible officer for four categories of the J-1 visa- Represented the World Alliance of YMCAs at the United Nations as an official NGO representative- Built collaborations with universities, community groups, individuals, corporate entities and other global service organizations- Co-led business, financial & board development efforts for the International YMCA- Increased department budget by 150% over three years and exceeded budget by an average of 50% over five years- Directed national youth exchanges, funded by the U.S. Department of State, with multiple U.S. YMCAs including Seattle, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Ridgewood and Washington D.C. - Recruited and managed over 150 program volunteers - Developed & implemented outcomes based evaluations resulting in 80% increase in member/participant satisfaction- Managed group-based global service program for 100+ New York City youth annually- Organized international service trips for board members/staff to Thailand, South Africa & Jerusalem.

Began as a DayCamp Group Leader before serving as Assistant Site Director then A+ Site Director, managing 360 children and 25 staff in a state funded afterschool program. Continuing to lead and support an amazing team, I became Assistant Program Director, creating a new Middle School program serving more than 400 teens annually. Before leaving the YMCA of Honolulu, I served as Program Director for all Teen/Outreach programs.- Supported securing of $75K donation and led teen center renovation and teen department re-organization- Mentored and coached countless youth, teens, families, volunteers and program staff- Created first fee-based middle school after-school, summer, weekend and intersession program (increased enrollment by 400% over two years; grew budget resulting in $10K department surplus)- Initiated first joint teen center with the Boys & Girls Club on Oahu - co-developed and identified program and facility strategies for 'Planet Central'- Co-developed 'Capitol Corps' program - providing civic engagement and journalism experience to teens - Initiated and facilitated active youth & parent advisory committees- Supported other YMCA of Honolulu branches in development of middle school & teen programs - Co-led 'alternative break' trip to Chiangmai, Thailand for college student leaders from the Atherton YMCA
