Throughout the world, information of extreme historical importance are stored in locations that are not ideal for the storage of delicate media. These locations may also not be readily accessible to internal or external researchers. We seek to find these at-risk repositories and establish a digital preservation process so that these histories can endure.We are a collaborative of researchers, historians, technologists, and those with a vested interest in the preservation of the past and improvement on the future. With effective planning, leadership, accountability at the local level, and getting the right people working toward the same end, we can really make a difference in many ways. The immediate benefit is the preservation of our world heritage. As more information becomes accessible to researchers, research cost is mitigated by not having to travel to remote destinations for the purpose of finding small amounts of specific information. The long term benefit is a network of researchers and librarians all collaborating on the world stage to bring our history forward together.
