Chad Petterson has spent most of his career leading and funding start-up companies, ministries and socially-focused businesses. After graduating from the Michigan Business School as the University of Michigan's #1 scholar-athlete, Chad started his career in the M&A Department at Morgan Stanley in New York City. This eventually led to a specific focus on investing in early-stage companies and positions at venture capital firms in Boston and Connecticut.Chad has also sat of the other side of the table as an entrepreneur, leading the development of:iverCity (pronounced like "diversity") - California-based tech company focused on the specific needs of the poor, uneducated and illiterateWall Street Exodus - unique business development/ministry/TV & film project focused on serving the poor in NYC, Bridgeport and HondurasReceiving Jesus Football Camps - football camps for fatherless boys in innercity communities, starting in East NashvilleIMPACT Football - limited-contact football league aimed at reducing head trauma in young athletesLevel Field Lacrosse - program focused on "leveling the playing field" and allowing all young children to play lacrosseSTEALTH™ - football and finance combined in an unprecedented wayIn March of 2020, while developing the STEALTH platform, Chad saw the writing on the wall for the music industry in Nashville. Based on his experience helping Wall Street professionals during the 2008 financial crisis --- and sensing the great suffering and need that was being created by the current crisis -- he dropped everything to help out.The result was HOPE-20, a 501(c)(3) that has provided financial help, groceries, fresh produce, training and access to new income opportunities to music professionals affected by COVID-19. Through this work, the organization was able to pay over $150,000 of housing and utility bills, supply over 10,000 pounds of groceries and fresh produce, provide over 100 live and online courses and give mental, emotional and spiritual support to struggling artists and musicians.Once venues started opening back up and tours started getting back on the road, Chad re-named the effort HOPE FORWARD and shifted its focus to moving music professionals past the effects of the pandemic and FORWARD in their careers. Current initiatives include new, innovative approaches to mental health and new, innovative income opportunities/funding pathways.A major breakthrough in this pursuit has been the founding of LABELCOIN™, a for-profit Web3 song investment and fan engagement platform with a mission to end artist poverty.
