My sports coverage websites and social media accounts (@AugBball) served more than 20,000 followers/subscribers. This involved preparing curriculum and lessons for students from high school down to elementary school, teaching and grading the work, and helping students overcome problems with the work.- (2009-2014) Coached high school basketball for the Greater Augusta Independent School Eagles, a homeschool team. The team, which existed for 5 years, achieved much success, placing 9th, 7th, and 3rd at the National Christian Homeschool Basketball Championships in the last three seasons. I was responsible for the internal and external sales force; the specifications, pricing, and marketing of the products; the planning of the deliveries to retail partners; and the overall profitability of the business. The profitability of this business grew significantly during this time as gross margin expanded (from roughly 5% to roughly 10%) and sales volume grew from ~$100 million to ~$200 million.- Participated on a senior team (4 people) that included the CEO and the other two sales/marketing executives, planning business strategies that affected all functions within the organization.- Regularly led new initiatives that transformed practices and functions within the organization: new logistics, pricing, marketing, and business models.

- Partnered with Heritage Academy, which at that time served K-2nd grade students, to form a 5th-8th grade "middle school." The idea first formed in July 2003. Six weeks later, we had arranged the funding, secured the classroom space, hired the teachers, and recruited the 65 students to populate Heritage Academy's first venture into the "upper grades." The school only existed for one year (my choice), but the memories and lessons learned will never fade.

In this function, I worked with field sales representatives, owners and employees of the dealers we served, and the internal sales and marketing teams that put together the selling programs.- Worked as a production and inventory scheduling and customer order fulfillment analyst.- This work experience was valuable because it supplemented my undergraduate business/finance studies. I also learned a lot about problem solving.
