As a Co-Lead PreK Teacher, I help in creating a weekly curriculum as well as create and maintain a welcoming environment in the classroom. This committee was to take point in all aspects of deciding theme and time frames to complete certain objectives. The committee was also charged with planning our staff Annual Campaign kick-off where we discussed the importance of raising money to help families and children have easier access to our programs.I have also been charged with being the Assistant Camp Director for our School-Based Summer Camp for the 2019 Summer. As a lead teacher working with children between the ages of 3.5 and 4 years, I helped prepare them for PreK. To do this, I worked alongside colleagues, parents, and most importantly, the children. Creating a warm, caring, and safe environment for the children to feel welcome and ready to learn was step one. I worked to get the children excited about each weeks theme and watching what they did with the lessons they've learned.

In this position I assisted customers with finding products in the store as well as addressed their questions. I helped customers feel welcome and comfortable throughout the store by ensuring a positive shopping experience.

As the lead teacher I prepared educational and developmental activities for the children. These activities allowed me to see first hand how the children manipulated materials in these activities which helped me gauge their developmental needs. In turn I was able to build strong relationships with parents which allowed me to be able to effectively communicate what was needed to reach developmental milestones.

In this elective program I worked alongside other classmates to structure daily activities for the preschool children enrolled in the program. I also assisted children with preparation and cleanup following activities. In addition to my general support role, I also assisted with preparing and serving meals.
