During the past 3 years I had the opportunity to lead a globally diverse team of 500+ people. The team made up of members from 42 nations, I was responsible for all administrative, logistics, budget, information systems, and facilities to accomplish our task of maritime security, counter-piracy, counter-terrorism, and counter-smuggling. I relied on my ability to develop high-level strategic plans, flawlessly execute at a tactical level, and effectively communicate in order to outperform and successfully mitigate security risks 100% of the time.

Executive Officer for the J5 (Policy, Plans, and Strategy) at NORAD & US Northern Command. Responsible for the daily flow of 25+ tasks to/from Flag Officers within the J5. Additionally tracked and managed 500+ tasks annually in the DoD Task Force Management System (ETMS and TMT).

Civil Support Planner working on solutions for complex problems with US Government Interagencies. This position specifically connected the Department of Defense resources/capabilities to the timely needs of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on whole of government response to natural and man-made disasters. Collaborating with 300+ military, government, and private sector support members I wrote the DoD response playbook for the Wasatch Earthquake (Salt Lake City) and Cascadia Subduction Zone Earthquake and Tsunami (Pacific Northwest) events. These playbooks included the movement of 20,000+ pieces of personnel and support equipment into the impacted area through key logistical airport/road/staging areas. Additionally assigned as the Transportation Feasibility Analysis lead in the J5, I was the lead for modeling all 50,000+ individual pieces of response equipment/food/water movements. I used the modeling software/systems from US Transportation Command. These models would show which routes would be vital to keep open in the event of an emergency; this information was provided back to respective Department of Transportation for each impacted state so they could plan future infrastructure budgets accordingly.

Operations Department Head in one of the Navy’s largest squadrons (550+ personnel), Operations Officer for 14 months, Detachment Officer in Charge of 100 personnel and 3 aircraft in Republic of South Korea for six months, Detachment Officer in Charge of 165 personnel and 3 aircraft in 2018 Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2 months, AMCM Maintenance Officer for 11 months.

Operations Officer and Training Officer at Mine Countermeasures Squadron Five. As Training Officer, led the squadron through bi-annual Mine Warfare Certification. Operations Officer responsible for the overall scheduling, coordinating, tasking, tracking, and reporting of 4 US warships, 4 UK warships, 3 Helicopters, Explosives Ordnance Detachment, and testing and evaluation of unmanned systems.

TH-57B/C (Bell 206) Instructor Pilot, Crew Resource Management Instructor (CRM-I), Instrument and Formation Standardization Instructor, FAA RW Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), FAA RW Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII), FAA RW Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Assistant Operations Officer in one of the US Navy’s busiest flight squadrons (+20k flight hours a year).
