With over 25+ years in the technology industry, specifically focused on wireless data connectivity, IOT, Location Based Services, and GPS Fleet Telematics, I have instilled a passion for helping customers find solutions for not only problems they may be experiencing, but more importantly to enhance their daily productivity levels and overall efficiencies in their respective lines of work.I thrive on building partnerships throughout the ecosystem with a win-win mentality. I truly believe not one company can provide everything a given customer or business segment is seeking and therefore it's vital to align themselves with strategic partners who can complement and provide solutions to fill in the gaps where you may be at a slight disadvantage otherwise. I focus on 3 key principles for building strategic partner relationships: Integrity, Trust and Accountability.In my role as Senior Business Development Manager at Garmin International, I was fortunate enough to build strategic relationships with many of the leading telematics solutions providers in the world including GeoTab, Teletrac Navman, Orbcomm, GPS Insight, Forward Thinking Systems, and Samsara. I was given the autonomy to create a business within the consumer automotive segment and my team was able to successfully contribute $23-$30M annually towards the company's gross revenues. I was able to share resources with other product initiatives and required no marketing spend whatsoever to deliver results. In my latest role as International Sales Director at Datalink Systems International INC I gained additional insight into how data connectivity and specifically how an alerting platform can provide tremendous safety and security for first responders, global SARs, and city municipalities. I developed a sales channel built around indirect sales reps, dealers, and various value added resellers which required extensive training, educating, coaching, and support. One of the biggest challenges I faced was winning the mindshare of reps and resellers who already had a large portfolio of products and solutions at their disposal. In this role I was also able to build strategic partnerships with Soracom for data connectivity, Meitrack for telematics hardware and various LMR OEMs including ICOM, Kenwood, and BK Technologies in order to create a turn-key solution for our reps, resellers and business partners across North America.
